Erik Olson Prints - AWAAZ Residency 2026

from $175.00

This new body of work was created in Baroda, India, during Olson’s 2026 residency at AWAAZ Studio. Working from fourteen drypoint copper plates, Olson produced a suite of black-and-white prints, each issued in an edition of 20. Alongside these editions, he created a series of unique color monotypes by painting directly onto the etched copper plates before printing, allowing each impression to become a singular variation on the original image.

The result is a collection that moves between structure and improvisation: the drypoint editions preserve the immediacy of incised line, while the monotypes introduce color, touch, and chance into the printing process.

Unique Monotypes:One-of-a-kind color works painted and printed from the etched copper plates. (Please note that color monotypes are 1-of-1 and as such only one can be added to your cart. )

Drypoint Editions:Fourteen black-and-white prints, each printed in an edition of 20. The full set of fourteen is available for $2,000.

Olson has exhibited widely across Canada, the United States, and Europe, with exhibitions at institutions and galleries including Contemporary Calgary and the Glenbow Museum.
