With this work, I wanted to make a piece that invites joy into a room--a subtle imagery for the mind to rest on. I've been thinking often about the Japanese concept of 'Ma', which considers the significance of empty space, whether physical or mental. 'Ma' is necessary in life, as it allows you the opportunity to grow. If your time or space is restricted, you cannot grow. So, I hope this work can accompany you during 'Ma', when you're in between moments of life. With a quick glance, this flash of color can bring you joy, happiness, and contemplation.
